It's Potent

Hello my lovelies! I'm always looking for skincare products to try out, and earlier this year, i bought a set of Benefits Skincare luxury sized samples. One of my favorite products from the bunch was It's Potent, so i thought I'd share with you my thoughts!

When perusing the shelves, trying to pick out an eye cream, i tend to stay away from thick heavy creams! I much prefer light creams, as thick, gloopy  creams cause me to break out under my eyes. I end up with lot's of small spots, and its just not pretty! In comparison to other eye creams I've tried, It's Potent is actually fairly light. Don't get me wrong though, when you put it on you can still feel it on your eyes, but it's not sticky or a hindrance!

I always apply my eye cream after cleansing before i go to bed, i definitely find that that's enough to keep my under eye area in good shape! When i wake up, after application, i can certainly tell the difference! The skin is nourished, and i have no dry or flaky patches!

It smells fairly nice too, which is a plus point, there's nothing worse than a great product that doesn't smell good! It's potent definitely isn't the cheapest of eye creams on the market, and you could probably get one much cheaper at £25.50, but if you've tried everything else on the shelves, and nothings working, I'd definitely recommend you give this a go!

Candy Mountain

Hello my lovelies! I did a spot of Lush shopping the other day, and picked up a few pieces from their Christmas range! I thought I'd review 'Candy Mountain' for you today!

Whenever I go into Lush, like most other people I can be seen trawling through the crates trying to sniff out the best of their products. When I picked up candy mountain, I was certainly impressed with the scent, a big factor when determining which products I should buy. It has a very sweet scent, much like snow fairy shower gel (a lush classic). It definitely has the signature Lush aurora about it. I'm not brilliant at describing scents, but I definitely think this would appeal to anyone with a 'sweet nose'!
Another thing I really love about Candy Mountain is the way it leaves bath water!

When I used the bath product, it left my bath water feeling (and smelling) really silky and luxurious. One of the many things I love about Lush products is the fact that you actually feel like they're doing something! I also like the fact that my skin is left really nice and soft for a day or so after!

It's a looker too! A pink and white sparkly mountain has to be a winner in anyone's book? It doesn't make you bath water bright pink, but that makes it easier to clean your bath! It ends up with a subtle tint, perfect for relaxing! Unbelievably, Candy Mountain is one of Lush's cheapest products, and therefore well worth the money!

Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hello my lovelies! I recently picked up the Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser, and wanted to share my thoughts on it with you!

I was on the hunt for a decent cleanser that i could use to remove my makeup with, and this definitely gets the job done well. It's a really thick creamy texture, which in my opinion is better. You only need a small amount to buff into your skin, in order to get rid of any makeup/dirt! Another plus point is that it smells just like sun cream, which i love. It reminds me of summer, something which seems oh so far away! I also really like he fact that the product itself is high in antioxidants and vitamin E, which are both really beneficial for the skin!

In the box, you also get a really handy muslin cloth (which can be expected with a hot cloth cleanser) which is really good, and washes like a dream.

The packaging isn't my favorite however, as to me it looks quite clinical. But i think i can look past the rather mediocre packaging, as the product is just that great! When i bought the hot cloth cleanser I payed £4.99, however I'm aware that this product comes on offer a lot, so if you're looking to buy it, but you're not desperate i'd definitely hold back until i comes on offer. But, i definitely think its worth full price anyways!

Rimmel Apocalips

Hello my lovelies! As you probably know, the Rimmel apocalips lip lacquers have been raved about time and time again. I decided it was time I bit the bullet, jumped on the band wagon and tried them out!

Luna is the pale peachy shade pictured in the photograph. The colour is extremely orange toned, which could suit your skin down to the ground! Sadly, it doesn't suit my skin very well, as I am fairly tanned, and I end up looking like I have a bad case of concealer lip! I would definitely say that this colour would look better on fairer skin. When applied only once 'Luna' appears very streaky and patchy, which isnt what you want. Personally, I let each coat dry and then build it up layer at a time to get the opaque lip I'm looking for. However, when the product is built up on your lips the quality really shines through. They're not sticky, and don't wear off for hours!

The other apocalips is 'Apocaliptic'. I picked this up from Pound world! So it was a right old bargain! But this one is actually my favourite of the two! First application allows for an opaque coat first time round, and I end up with the glossiest plumpest looking lips. Unlike a lot of bright lip products, this one doesn't run into the creases around my lips, it says put. I'm pretty sure this shade has blue undertones too, because it makes my teeth much whiter than they naturally are, which is obviously a bonus! Overall, I think its one of my top five lip colours!

I love the packaging of the apocalips. Especially the lids. The geometric pattern, really gives the futuristic feel that I think Rimmel are aiming for. Another thing I really like, is that the bottle is transparent in places, which means you can see the true colour of the product with little difficulty! This makes it easier to find the right shade to put on in those dark winter mornings! The contrast between the black, and the colour of the product really makes the apocalips pop!

Pricing is fairly decent too. At £6.49, i can definitely see myself purchasing some more in the future as they're just that great.

Leave me some colour recommendations in the comments!

Green Tea Stem Cell Face Mask

Hello my lovelies! On Sunday whilst doing my errands (in the house i might add) I tried out this Green Tea Stem Cell Facial mask, and i thought it was a perfect opportunity to review it!

When i was searching the shelves for a good face mask, this really stood out, for a few reasons, firstly look at the colours of the packaging! Bright Green and Grey, two of my favourite colours. Not only that but i thought the name really sounded good! I especially liked the sound of the green tea, because I'm sure its full of things that are great for your skin and body!

I'm not a big fan of the type of face masks that you have to 'scoop and spread' all over your face, they're too messy and get  e v e r y w h e r e  so they're not quick and easy like i prefer. So when i noticed this was a pre-cut sheet mask, it sealed the deal. The mask its self is madefrom a really thick mesh type of material, which means that the product doesn't bubble or drip of, and just sits on your face really nicely! One thing i will say however, is that the mask is quite big, and the product can get in your hair, so if your planning to use this, i'd use a hair band to ensure that it doesn't get stuck in your hair. The size of the holes for your eyes, mouth and nose are perfectly adequate too which is great!

When you take the mask out of its packet, its very wet, and has tonnes of liquid on it, which i really like. As you put it onto your face, it's really cold which adds to the whole refreshing element! I will admit, that it is quite sticky which wont be everyone cup of tea, but the results are well worth the stickiness! After using this, my skin did feel much tighter, and moisturized as well as extremely fresh and revitalized! It's really soothing effect seems to have done something for my spots too, because they seem to be disappearing as we speak! I love the smell too, its very fresh and clean! I only paid around 69p for this too from home bargains, so i will definitely be repurchasing it!

I would definitely recommend this face mask to anyone who has quite spotty skin or dry skin, as it really does give a calming moisture boost!

Crabtree and Evelyn Rosewater Hand Therapy

*Old packaging is photographed*

Hello my lovelies, after another long break, i'm back to blogging again. I thought i'd kick off with a hand cream review, because honestly, with winter just around the corner, hand creams are one of my staple products!

Firstly i want to discuss the packaging of this Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream. It's absolutely beautiful! I know this is the old packaging, but the new one is equally as nice. I think the main hing i like about the packaging is the vintage feel, tied with pastel colours and flowers. It's just so Leanne! The packaging itself is made of a metal (unsure which) which makes the product feel all the more worthy of my pennies!

Usually, i tend to avoid rose scent because i find them extremely over powering and much too floral for my liking, but after i smelt this, i was converted! Someone actually bought me this for my Birthday (and i wouldn't have smelt it otherwise) but i'm in love! It's just a really light adaptation of rose, and i think that's why i really like it!

As for the texture, it's very thick and creamy, but it's soaks in fairly well so take into account the consistency! It leaves my hands feeling really nourished and soft and helps them to avoid the winter cracked skin, which usually begins to set in in October time!

Overall Product Rating:
Price: 6/10  Product: 8/10  Packaging: 10/10

Hope you enjoyed today's post, and be on the look out for Update/Get to know me better a post coming later in the week!

Nivea Express Hydration Primer

Hello my lovelies! As you may already know, I have relatively oily skin, and i hate it! So recently i've been on the search for a really good moisturiser, and i think I've found it...

Nivea Express Hydration Primer!

Firstly, i want to talk about the packaging. I love the glass jar, as to me glass shows quality! However, the box is noticibly larger than the actual jar, so much so that the actual product is positioned on a platform of cardboard. But the box is very informative, and tells you everything that the product intends to do, which i really like!

As for the moisturising side of the product, for oily skin its very good. Even after just the first use, i noticed that my skin felt softer, and more smooth! When first applied, i feel like my skin is having a really good drink. It also leaves me feeling much fresher (I have no idea how it does this, as when i wake up i look like a monster!) I think probably the best thing about the moisurising side of things is that, i'm not left with my usual shine, when applied as part of my skincare regime!

In terms of the primer, its okay. If I'm going out with no base makeup on, then i can tell a noticable difference. My skin looks much smoother, and less discoloured! It also really helps my eye makeup to stay intact, without creasing (which i have a really big problem with!). I don't think it helps my foundation to sit any better though, but it doesn't make it any worse either!

Overall i really like this! I would definitely recommend it with anybody who has hydration problems or sensitive skin, as it moisurises well, without leaving too much extra 'oil'.

Overall rating 7/10

Purchase of the Week

Hello my little lovelies! This weeks purchase, is the MUA Undressed Palette!

The colours are wonderful, and swatch really well! They look really nice on the eyelids, and are really pigmented! As for staying power, they last all day, when wearing a eyelid primer! I originally went to buy this as i heard that it was a pretty good dupe for the naked palette from Urban Decay, but i can't compare as i don't own it. But as for the product itself, i think it's a pretty good staple!

This costs £4, and is available from MUA. I think for any starter kits, or even for the pro's amongst us, its a pretty good, buy!
And i have had this for around 3 weeks (despite the title of the post) so I've tested them all out!

                                                              **True to colour swatches**

Hope you enjoyed todays purchase of the week!

Purchase of the week #1

Sleek Pomegranate Blush

Hello, my little lovelies! Today i thought i'd share with you a new series i'm hoping to introduce to our area of the interweb, 'Purchase Of The Week'. There not going to be long rambly posts, they will be short snappy snippits, and hopefully you'll enjoy them! Alrighty then, on to the post!!

As you can see by the picture above, this weeks purchase was a Sleek Blusher,  in the shade Pomegranate. It a dark, cranberry shade with shimmer running through it. Its highly pigmented, and is great for that rosy cheeked winter glow. However, you do have to e light handed, and apply with care as you can go from white as a ghost, to a glowy as a tomato in seconds. To apply this i would probably use the Real Techniques Setting Brush, as it picks up the picks up the pigment perfectly. I bought it from Superdrug, for £4.49, not too bad for a good blusher! Available HERE

If my opinion on this blusher doesn't change, i will definitely be purchasing more Sleek Blushers!

Montagne Jeunesse

Hola, my little beauties! Over the past couple of weeks  I've tried a whole lot of the Montagne Jeunesse face masks, and i just wanted to right a quick post on this fruit smoothie one!

Firstly it smells delicious! It literally smells divine! It smells really fruity, and its main notes are Raspberry And Mango!

So this mask is a drying pore de-cloging one, that you leave on for 10-15 minutes until it turns dry, from a thick cream. When dry you can wash off with warm water! Personally i think that the peel of masks are less messy, but these are still great! Your skin immediately feels smoother and clean, however i haven't really noticed and difference in terms of pores or long term effects. I think these masks are great for chilling with friends relaxing at home or even at a pamper party! If your looking for a products that's going to miraculously change your skin, you should probably look elsewhere. However i would definitely repurchase these, as there relatively cheap, and do make you feel nice and soft!

I do recommend these face masks! I would give these 7/10
Hope you enjoyed today's post lovelies!

My Top 5 Makeup Brushes!

Hello my little lovelies!!! Today i thought i'd show you my favorite 5 makeup brushes. Now i know this post is a little crammed with Real Techniques Brushes, but hey, these are the brushes i like! I've not tried hundreds of makeup brushes, but I've tried a fair few, and these are the ones that turned out tops! This might change overtime, as i try more and more brushes (i.e. Mac, but my budget doesn't stretch that far yet)

Real Techniques Powder Brush:- £12.99
I love the softness of this brush, and its perfect for applying powder, (I use it with my Stay Matte powder that everyone raves about, but personally i think the natural collection pressed powder is much better myself.) It applies a nice even layer of powder across my face, leaving a natural look.

Real Techniques Setting Brush:- £8.99
I know that its not meant to be a contouring brush but that's what i use it for and it works perfectly. It fits under my cheek bones, and leaves a really nice contoured look. I tend to use this with a matte bronzer as im not keen of the shimmery ones. And its relatively cheap compared to most makeup brushes. This one is also very soft!

Seventeen Eye shadow Brush:- £2.00
Firstly can we all just appreciate the price? £2 for an excellent eye shadow brush! It picks up the product well and evenly dispenses it across your eyelid. I actually can use this for 'crease work' but this can be rather tricky and i wouldn't try this if your only a beginner! I definitely advise you try this brush though!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:- £9.99
This brush is really dense, and very soft yet again! That's one think i love about the Real Techniques collection, their all SO soft! I find that this brush is great to apply cream and powder blush. I especially love the finish that is given when i use this brush to apply cream blush. If you want a higher coverage foundation brush.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush:- £11.99
I use this brush to 'buff' in my foundation and concealer, and it works a treat! Its good if you want a low-medium coverage. It leaves your foundation looking really nice and glow-y. I  think this is probably my favorite brush of all time as its really that good!! I LOVE it!

Hope you enjoyed this post, my little pumpkin pies!

Current Hair Care Edit

Hey my little lovelies!! I wanted to give you a quick insight into my current hair care 'system' so to speak! And at the moment i believe it works perfectly with my hair type!!

TRESemme Thermal Recovery, Nourish & Renew Shampoo:- This is shampoo for dry hair heat damaged hair. I tend to use this once a week, as if i use it more often it can cause oil build up in my hair, as it's naturally oily. Available HERE

Babyliss Curl Secret C1000E :- This is seriously revolutionary... It zaps up your hair does 8, 10 or 12 seconds, and then out comes a perfect curl, Its surprisingly easy to use too!! Its not on the cheap side, and i was lucky enough to receive this for Christmas! Available HERE

Alberto Balsalm Green Apple Shampoo & Conditioner:- I LOVE Alberto Balsalm! For one, they all smell very nice, the green apple one is marketed towards my hair type so i though it was best  used this one, but i really like the scent well. Does everything a shampoo should! Available HERE

Enrapture Totem Curler:- The barrel part of this curler is split into three sections, each of which can be changed to different heat settings, which makes it really easy to change up your style regularly. I really like the fact that one heat styler can make so many different hairstyles. Available HERE

Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Oil Treatment:- I was lucky enough to receive this one for Christmas, and have tried it out around three times, and so far i'm loving it! It stops frizzies, helps split ends and makes hair silky soft. I don't use a hair mask every time i wash my hair, as i have naturally oily hair... once a week is enough for me! Available HERE

And finally we come to straighteners are straighteners, and these Toni & guy ones certainly get the job done! There quite good, and don't leave your hair damaged when used at the right heat.... Available HERE

Hoped you enjoyed today's post guys!!!

Simple Light Moisturizer Review

Hello My Little Beauties!! Okay, so as you all know I've been raving about this product for months, my obsession goes back years infact! And guess what? I thought it was time i wrote a review finally!!!

Firstly i want to talk about the consistency of this product, its light, but not creamy... its definitely more textured, but i can't quite put it into words. When first applied to the skin as part of my morning routine, it makes my face rather shiny. But after 10 or so minutes it soaks in well and leaves my face looking much more refreshed! I have combination to oily skin, more oily than combination, and i find this can be very hard to cater for when looking for a good light moisturizer. This one though works well for me!!

There isn't any scent to this moisturizer, which i prefer, as i really don't like putting scented things on my face (apart from the odd lip balm...i can't resist a good lip balm!) as i think of it as rubbing food on my face (yes, weird, i know!) So in conclusion i prefer this as its unscented!

Another great point about this 'wonderproduct' so to speak is the price. No matter how much i try to put it out of my mind, price always helps me decide whether or not to try a product. And obviously at £3.99 i though this one was worth a go! Let's just say, i was impressed!!!

In conclusion i do think that this is a great product overall. Price, Product and Packaging are all fantastic! So if you have oily to combination skin then i'd definitely try this one out, as in my opinion its well worth a go!

Hoped you enjoyed today's post guys!

Favourite Perfumes!

Hey my little lovelies!!! Today's post is going to be my 'Favorite Perfume' post. So then, hope you enjoy and i just want to clarify, that in no way shape or form am i a perfume expert, and i'm also no good at describing smells this is purely to show you my favorites! haha

Next Adore Perfume:-

As you may have previously noticed, this was mentioned in my recent '2013 Favorites' , as it was my most worn perfume last year. Its sweet and strong, and is better after it settles. And best of all? The Price at only £10 for 100ml.. BARGAIN Available HERE

Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Body Splash:-

So technically, this isn't a 'perfume', but the scent is strong enough to pass as one. Obviously it smells like vanilla, sweet and rather heavy. It lasts for a long time and is definitely a more winter-y scent in my opinion. Again, its rather cheap £2!! Available HERE

One Direction Moments Perfume:-

Now, i absolutely love this perfume! Its not cheap or tacky smelling, its sweet and fragrant.  Its not what you expect, it exceeds my expectation! Its not cheap, like the other two, but it's not that expensive for a perfume, of such high quality. For a 50ml bottle like mine its £28.50 and the scent lasts all day! Available HERE

Beyonce Heat Rush:-

Now, i don't exactly know how to describe this one as its sweet, but lighter than the others. This is probably my favorite out of the four as its delicious! I would also say this has more of a fruity note that the others, its rather pricey for 100ml at £38.00, But its currently on offer for £19.00 BARGAIN. Available HERE

Hoped you like today's post guys!!!

Bath time Beauties...

I don't tend to be much of a bath kinda gal in summer i tend to go for showers, but in winter, i can't get enough baths... When i have a shower, i don't feel as pamper somehow, and i have no clue why, i also tend to use more 'luxurious' products too. And i thought i'd give you a quick insight into what i use in a 'pamper' bath

Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Argan Oil:-  I don't always use this specific one, but i always use a hair mask. I was lucky enough to receive this one for Christmas, and have tried it out around three times, and so far i'm loving it, i'm thinking about doing a review soon so look out for that! But in general, using a hair mask, stops frizzies, helps split ends and makes hair silky soft. I don't use a hair mask every time i wash my hair, as i have naturally oily hair... once a week is enough for me!

Soap & Glory Smoothie star Breakfast Scrub:- I LOVE this stuff! It smells like fudge / maple syrup! Yum... Its really good for exfoliating elbows and knees, and is also good for before shaving your legs and fake tanning! Its a very thick consistency,   and a rather harsh scrub, probably not very good for sensitive/ irritable skin (Scrub Of Your Life from soap and glory is a much gentler scrub) It gets rid of dry skin like a dream! I will definitely be repurchasing this, even though its rather pricey for a body scrub.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me: - This body wash is in soap and glory's signature scent (like hand food and the righteous butter) Its a perfect body wash, and ensures a nice smelling bath time. I saw on one of MissBudgetBeautys videos, that this wash was really good to use when shaving legs, so i thought i'd give it a try, a by-gum its a winner. It leaves my legs feeling silky smooth! Its very creamy and moisturizing perfect for those winter blues!

Space Girl Bath Bomb: If you saw my post on what Abbie got me for Christmas you would have seen that this is my favorite bath bomb from lush. It smells like sweets and whizzes around your bath tub, what more you want? I'm not going to go into too much detail, as i practically did a full review on that post so check it out. But if your not a big fan of lush, you can just replace it with your personal preference.

Finally we come to Soap & Glory's Righteous Butter: - As i said above, its Soap & Glory's signature scent, thick and creamy. I tend to avoid moisturizing my legs (don't tell the beauty bloggers) as i find it such a chore. But since i tried this i can't get enough, i moisturize after every bath/ shower, and i can definitely tell a difference. My skins looking (and feeling) softer and much more moisturized! And the best of it all? It doesn't feel like a chore anymore, i actually enjoy moisturizing!!!

Hope you enjoyed today's post my little lovilies!!!
