This or That Beauty Tag

Okay, so this is a post that we are both contributing to! Yay! Abbie's answers are in purple And Leanne's answers are in light blue.

Blush or Bronzer:   Definitely I'm naturally quite tanned anyway so i tend to use bronzers as definition Blush, i   hardly ever use bronzer as i find it looks a bit strange as i am so pale.
Lip gloss or Lipstick: Lipstick easy! Lipstick, lip gloss is too sticky, my hair always ends up sticking to it :L

lotion or body butter : Body Lotion It depends, you can get so many nice scents in body butters, but i prefer     to use lotions because they seem to be easier to apply

Clinique Primer Sample

So I signed up for this free sample from clinique because of the 'universal' statement. In this case I believe that, it should be a multi purpose primer, that I can test out! I'm always up for testing new things out, as I think its the only way you can find your 'holy grail' products!
I know the photograph is a bit blurry, but it will get the job done! I really really like this primer and it makes your makeup last literally all day. However i'm not saying that this product's amazing, it could well be, but i've only tried it once, so just bear that in mind! I wore quite a dark smokey eyeshadow, when i used my sample, and it sayed intack from the moment i put it on to the second i took it off! There wasn't any drop down, which to me is one of the key points to a primer! All primers tend to make my face rather shiny, but this one really doesn't! I think it is rather pricey, but if you've got the budget for it well worth it. Its £20.00 for a full sized bottle and is available HERE

I can't really do a full in depth review, because i haven't tried it out thoroughly enough however, i do think that i would really like it, and this makes me want it even more... I'm certainly considering it!

Hope you liked today's post guys!

Everyday makeup collection

Okay, so this is a little bit of something different! I thought i'd show you  my everyday makeup pieces. Now, this isn't where my makeup is usually stored, but i thought that this looked a little bit more 'scenic' than the plastic drawers that i usually keep my makeup in!

From the picture above you can see the main 'swing' of things! Obviously when all is away as it normally would be the lipsticks are neatly in the drawer, and the drawer is pushed inside the jewelry box, which i bought at a boot sale for 50p! Bargain... it was in immaculate condition too!
Okay, in the large pull out drawer, I have all my other bits and bobs, eye shadow etc.

  • MUA Undress me two palette (review coming soon!)
  • 2 MUA cream blushers :- Dolly and Yummy
  • A light pink blush that I need to give to Abbie
  • A collection black gel eyeliner
  • Kate Moss by Rimmel lipstick :-02
  • Avon push up lipstick :- Nude Peach
On the plate which i staged my 'Winter Essentials' on earlier in the month i keep my basic even no makeup day products! As well as a MUA nail polish thrown in for good measure! So on the plate i have:

  • Next adore perfume which is running dangerously low
  • Maybelline Baby Lips :- Cherry Me
  • The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip balm :- Guava
  • Simple light hydrating moisturizer
  • MUA nail polish :- Koala Bear
The plate is also from a boot sale, and for 25p i couldn't leave it!

So in the lift up top section, i keep all my face base everyday makeup in here:

  • Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:- 200
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse :- Sand
  • Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer:- Sand
  • Miss Sporty Concealer:- Medium
  • 2 MUA Cover and Concealer Concealers, in different shades:- Light and fair
  • Natural Collection Green Concealer
  • The remains of the Natural Collection Pressed Powder:- Warm
Hope you enjoyed this little insight into my everyday makeup collection!

I Heart Drugstore Makeup Tag

Before anyone starts, I know 'tag' videos are usually only done on YouTube... But I thought i'd bend the rules! Let's go!!!! :)

1. What is your favourite drugstore makeup brand?
I really like Rimmel and  Maybelline, I can't really choose between! I have a variety of both brands and there's hardly any I dislike! I also really like MUA and Sleek!

2. What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?
I like the MUA cream blushers, natural collection pressed powder and the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation.  I LOVE the Kate Moss lipsticks from Rimmel and the collection lipsticks.

3. Least favourite product?
Personally, I don't like the MUA pressed powder, I have really oily skin so the product isn't for my skin type. That's not to say, I won't work for you, everybody's skin types are different!!

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
I think that the MUA pro palette's are amazingly pigmented for the price (£4). The Sleek palettes are really good too!

5. What is your favourite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
I don't really know if it counts as an 'underdog' product. But the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I think it gets overlooked as in most drugstores, it stands next to the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (the infamous foundation, that EVERY 'beauty guru' On YouTube raves about).

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
Definitely Mascara... Its extortionate!  L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara is £10.99, going on for high end prices!

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)
I haven't personally got my very own 'drugstore dupe' that I've found myself, I do know of one. The MUA Undress me and Undress Me Too palettes are supposedly really good dupes for the Naked 1 & 2 palette!

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
The Nivea lip butters. They taste nice and there not dreadful. They just don't work for me. I think this product would be much more effective for people with dryer lips than mine! :)

Top three festive polishes

Hello my little beauties! Christmas is getting ever closer, and its nearly time to paint our fingers ready for the Christmas day celebrations, i like to do my festive nails around the 21st of December, and then touch them up on Christmas eve!

Okay, so this posts about my 3 Favorite festive nail polishes! Firstly, i want to apologize for the blury-ness of the photo, this was the only way i could get them all in shot sorry! On with the post!

3. No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish:- Millan
Despite how this looks in the bottle, one coat and your set, its perfect for the one coat lovers, The brush is extra wide and you can nearly fill your whole nail with one swipe. Its a soft pink colour, with lot's of silver sparkle, perfect for the festive season. I love this, but sadly i won't be wearing this over Christmas as the other two have piped it to the post. Its rather pricey though! I have a feeling this has been discontinued as i can't find it on the Boots website, but i came across a glitter nail polish that looks absolutely beautiful, so i will link that here. I think i might have to make a sneaky Pre-Christmas purchase!

2. Unbranded Red Nail Polish with flecks of Gold glitter
I'm sorry that this is completely unbranded and i can't find anything like it on the internet. But i couldn't leave this out of the post! Basically, its a light cherry red nail polish, and gold glitter mixed together and i love it. I don't exactly know how gained this, so that doesn't help either! But i did come across something pretty cool from Amazon that i thought i'd link as a replacement (2 out of 3 replacements! How rubbish am i? Eurgh). Its two nail art pens, one gold and one red, with glitter and the works, i don't know how good they are but i'm thinking about buying them, so if i do i'll probably write a post. Anyway, they're available here.

1. Barry M Glitter Nail polish:- Amethyst Glitter
Okay, so this one, i don't have to find a replacement for! You can buy the actual thing! And let me tell you its worth £2.99. As you can see from the picture above, that the glitter is mostly pink, teal and gold glitter, it shimmers like a disco ball! J One coats plenty for a quick coat, however  I prefer 2-3 coats to make it look nice and filled! I'm going to try doing ombre nails with this over the top of a black polish, and if it works this is going to be what i'm wearing on christmas day! All very exciting i know! Barry M are a great budget brand for nail polish and  make up! Available Here.

So i hoped you liked this post, on all things polished! Tell us in the comments your top three polishes! We'd love to know!

£1 Bargain Beauty... Worth it? #1

Hola my little beauties! I'm gonna be starting a little mini series of '£1 beauty bargain buys!' where i will be reviewing a whole host of beauty bipits and bopits! And to kick it all off, i'm gonna be posting this about this OZ Botanics Major Moisture shampoo!

This Shampoo is aimed at all hair types, so ideally it should suit any one! However, my hair is reasonably oily, so this added excess oils into my hair that weren't really necessary. But this isn't to say that it won't work for you, in fact i think that this will probably do the job for most people! The smell of most beauty items is definitely a big factor, and can't decide if i love or hate the smell of this product! At the first sniff it smelt like bubblegum, or at least i thought it did, and it continued to smell like this for the next couple of washes, which is a plus in my opinion! However after around three washes it started to smell  much different but not bad at all! So if you like that sort of smell (bubblegum) this is almost matched to you! :)

Personally, i will not be repurchasing this as it doesn't really suit my hair type, and leaves it looking rather greasy, although it does make it very light and soft! I think that this product should be aimed towards people with slightly dryer hair than my own, but hey ho, you win some you loose some!

All in all, if you have dryer hair, this is probably the product for you! I bought mine from home bargains for a £1 (Obviously!) Haha

Ps: i hope you like my slightly (well very) christmassy background, i rather like it myself!

Spotless skincare

Hey my little beauties! This posts talking spots, skincare and scrubbing haha!...

Everyday!...

Okay so i use this Clearasil daily clear superfruits oil and shine wash every single day, to keep the oil at bay! I just like Abbie have Oily to combination skin, which can get rather irritable, when looking for foundations and such. However this daily wash, clears pores, and unclogs oil (sound's disgusting i know) and leaves your face shine free, exactly what is says on the tin! I love the smell of this too, its very citrus-y which is right up my street! I use one pump in the palm of my hand, and then use lots of water, so is goes all around my face. It works a treat and in my opinion, abolishes spots! Its not too expensive it retails at £4.99, but the packaging has changed now, which is surprising as i only bought this a couple of months ago and its available HERE

Twice a Week!...

I use this blackhead fighting facial scrub, twice a week. This scrub by T-Zone exfoliating scrub, with micro beads, really does fight the blackheads! Its quite a harsh scrub, and people could have slight problems if you have sensitive skin. I think if i used it more than twice a week, i think it would damage my skin. I really like it though, it takes away spots, dead skin and black heads. I actually bought this in pound land, for a pound! Which to be honest is a right bargain! I'm sure you could end up paying more for it though. I also think that is available at home bargains too for around the same price, so i'd check there as well.

This doesn't include toner and moisturizer as you can see. This is the basics of spotless skin! So tell us in the comments your skin care routine, we'd love to know!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Hey everyone! This product i'm about to rave about is by far my favourite foundation that i am using at the moment! It is....the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation.

First of all, in my opinion, the main crucial points you need to consider before purchasing a foundation are shade and skin type. For me i am quite pale and i have oily/combination skin. I find these very hard to cater for. However, the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation seems to do the job! Although, it is not perfect as it appears quite dewy on my skin, it does give a natural look perfect for everyday or school (especially if you're not allowed to wear makeup!) I use the shade 010 Light Porcelain, which i believe is the lightest shade in the collection.

One benefit of this product is that you are almost guaranteed to find a shade to match your skin tone, hence the name! It is actually a perfect match for my skin. This could be down to the "advanced Smart-Tone technology" which makes your skin look flawless under any light, as it says on the bottle. I can't disagree with this statement, i think it works a treat! And after you have applied it to your face, your skin still looks like skin (which is always a bonus) without it looking cakey. Another great thing about this foundation is that it has SPF 18, which is ideal so no damage is done to the skin throughout the day. It keeps your skin nice and healthy! I also like the bottle as it feels and looks quite expensive, with it being made out of glass. And even though it looks expensive, it is at a fair price of £6.99 RRP. You can buy this from HERE

As i have said before, a negative to this product is that it can appear shiny and dewy on the skin, which is not ideal for you out there with oily skin (like me). And that is why i used a long lasting matte powder over the top, to keep it from looking oily.

Thank you if you're a trooper and you read all of this post! And be sure to leave us a comment or two telling us how you find this product, or even if you have any questions at all! We're always happy to help!

:)xxx

My winter essentials...

Hello again my little beauties! I thought I'd show you a few of my winter makeup favorites that I've been loving this winter. This is purely makeup based and I'm hoping to post a skincare and bath time one later in the month so watch out for that!

So the first thing I've been loving this 'season' is MUA's Koala Bear nail polish, its a middle way grey (my top notch language for half way between light and dark) colour and fits the season really well... And anyway who could resist a nail polish with the name Koala Bear? Adorable I know! Even better? Its only a pound. As you will soon find out I love MUA, its cheap, cheerful and amazing quality! Well worth the hype! When first applied, this nail polish does go on quite sheer, which isn't great for the quick 'n' easy lovers. Personally I think this nail polish is best when I've applied 3-4 coats and waited for them to dry completely. Despite the sheerness I would definitely recommend this nail polish, for the price its amazing! Available HERE

Okay, so the next thing in this bundle of festive favourites is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, and I won't go into too much detail about this one as I believe Abbie is going to be writing an upcoming post about this little jem. So all I'll say is I love it!! Available HERE

As you can see my next favorite is the body shop lip balm in the flavour 'Guava' which sounds all rather exotic! :) It smells absolutely lovely, and makes me feel all summery, even though we are in the thick of winter haha! And i actually feel like its doing something! With quite a lot of lip balms i don't feel like there doing anything, but the with this it's certainly not the case!! I apply this morning and night as part of my routine (post coming soon), and my lips feel constantly nourished. I sometimes feel the need to re- apply around dinner time right in between. And guess what? It's yet another bargainous product! £2. That's the price i pay for nourished lips. And it lasts a pretty long time too! I also have the flavour strawberry, which is just as good and smells like strawberry laces! YUM! Available HERE

So there's been a huge hype over the Kate Moss by Rimmel lipsticks this year, and sure enough i jumped onto the band waggon. And yes, i was utterly pleased! I have two shades 02 (pictured above) and 13, both of which i believe have been discontinued (sorry about that one! But i do believe that 01 is VERY similar to 02) Shade 02 is much more of a wintery colour than 13 so i decided to include that one. To be honest, the photograph doesn't do it justice. It's a slightly more deeper berry tone. It's not a drying formula at all and is almost a matte finish which i love! Its also very long lasting, and fantastic for parties and meals! To make this lipstick a little more classy, i just add a couple of coats of clear gloss that i re-apply every so often to keep my lips looking fresh!

As you can see towards the back there's a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I bought this around September time, and before i bought this, i used to just apply my foundation with my finger. However now i can't go back, i have numerous Real Technique Brushes, and i'm hoping to write a mini series of reviews and uses on them so again i don't particularly want to go into a full depth review, but i do believe this brush works ten times better than your average flat foundation brush and really leaves a nice 'flawless' affect finish.  Available HERE

And to the final thing in my 'winter essentials'. My simple moisturizer, as you've probably already seen i wrote an in depth  blog post on this only yesterday, (blog post HERE) so theres no point going into it all. But just to clarify, this is by far my favorite moisturizer, and i'm going to continue to use it! It's perfect for my skin type, so why change?

So that's a summary of my 'Winter Essentials' i hope you've enjoyed it and sorry its been a long un'!
Leanne :) xx

MUA - Intense Kisses

                                                       Kiss & Tell

Okay, so i thought i'd write a quick post about this 'high intensity gloss' for MUA. And wow its well worth its money!  Who can go wrong for £2?              Available here

I don't exactly know how to describe this 'gloss'. Its a cross between a lipstick, lip stain and a lip gloss. Its very long lasting, just like a stain, very high shine, like a lip gloss, and non sticky, just like a lipstick.I know that this lip.... product, has been compared to the Rimmel Apocalips, which a slightly more pricey opition. You can get a brilliant range of colours, some shimmery, some matte, and the best thing theres practically a shade for every skin tone! Bonus! And, sorry for the photography, um well i wanted to get this post up, and there was a storm at the time i was taking the photo, hence the awful background! It can last for a good 2-3 hours, but if your eating take into consideration that this time might be shortened. I've tried this out many times now, and i definitely think is does the job and more for the price. The colours a beautiful, cross between cherry and a dark pink. So if your trying to find a luscious lipstick, then i'd check this out!

Heavy Duty Moisturizer Perfect For Winter?!?!

Yes, i know were almost into the thick of the winter months! But that doesn't make it too late to try and recover our dry, itchy skin. We shouldn't have to put up with it! A simple is making it easier than ever.

This little number is perfect for the cold harsh conditions, and practically all year round! It's unscented which will appeal to most, and best of all it works... I think this is aimed at people with dry to combination skin, as it definitely adds plenty of moisture. Its light and works a treat! This is by far my favorite moisture booster that iv'e tried, and i'm not going to be changing up my routine anytime soon! This little beauty retails around £3 and you can find out more here, and buy it here. This is the perfect moisturizer for the bargain finder! I know its only a short review, but honestly i don't have a bad word to say about this product!
