Candy Mountain

Hello my lovelies! I did a spot of Lush shopping the other day, and picked up a few pieces from their Christmas range! I thought I'd review 'Candy Mountain' for you today!

Whenever I go into Lush, like most other people I can be seen trawling through the crates trying to sniff out the best of their products. When I picked up candy mountain, I was certainly impressed with the scent, a big factor when determining which products I should buy. It has a very sweet scent, much like snow fairy shower gel (a lush classic). It definitely has the signature Lush aurora about it. I'm not brilliant at describing scents, but I definitely think this would appeal to anyone with a 'sweet nose'!
Another thing I really love about Candy Mountain is the way it leaves bath water!

When I used the bath product, it left my bath water feeling (and smelling) really silky and luxurious. One of the many things I love about Lush products is the fact that you actually feel like they're doing something! I also like the fact that my skin is left really nice and soft for a day or so after!

It's a looker too! A pink and white sparkly mountain has to be a winner in anyone's book? It doesn't make you bath water bright pink, but that makes it easier to clean your bath! It ends up with a subtle tint, perfect for relaxing! Unbelievably, Candy Mountain is one of Lush's cheapest products, and therefore well worth the money!

Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hello my lovelies! I recently picked up the Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser, and wanted to share my thoughts on it with you!

I was on the hunt for a decent cleanser that i could use to remove my makeup with, and this definitely gets the job done well. It's a really thick creamy texture, which in my opinion is better. You only need a small amount to buff into your skin, in order to get rid of any makeup/dirt! Another plus point is that it smells just like sun cream, which i love. It reminds me of summer, something which seems oh so far away! I also really like he fact that the product itself is high in antioxidants and vitamin E, which are both really beneficial for the skin!

In the box, you also get a really handy muslin cloth (which can be expected with a hot cloth cleanser) which is really good, and washes like a dream.

The packaging isn't my favorite however, as to me it looks quite clinical. But i think i can look past the rather mediocre packaging, as the product is just that great! When i bought the hot cloth cleanser I payed £4.99, however I'm aware that this product comes on offer a lot, so if you're looking to buy it, but you're not desperate i'd definitely hold back until i comes on offer. But, i definitely think its worth full price anyways!

I was writing to anyone who'd listen, and look now. Here i am with 100 followers! And for that i can't thank you all enough!

Rimmel Apocalips

Hello my lovelies! As you probably know, the Rimmel apocalips lip lacquers have been raved about time and time again. I decided it was time I bit the bullet, jumped on the band wagon and tried them out!

Luna is the pale peachy shade pictured in the photograph. The colour is extremely orange toned, which could suit your skin down to the ground! Sadly, it doesn't suit my skin very well, as I am fairly tanned, and I end up looking like I have a bad case of concealer lip! I would definitely say that this colour would look better on fairer skin. When applied only once 'Luna' appears very streaky and patchy, which isnt what you want. Personally, I let each coat dry and then build it up layer at a time to get the opaque lip I'm looking for. However, when the product is built up on your lips the quality really shines through. They're not sticky, and don't wear off for hours!

The other apocalips is 'Apocaliptic'. I picked this up from Pound world! So it was a right old bargain! But this one is actually my favourite of the two! First application allows for an opaque coat first time round, and I end up with the glossiest plumpest looking lips. Unlike a lot of bright lip products, this one doesn't run into the creases around my lips, it says put. I'm pretty sure this shade has blue undertones too, because it makes my teeth much whiter than they naturally are, which is obviously a bonus! Overall, I think its one of my top five lip colours!

I love the packaging of the apocalips. Especially the lids. The geometric pattern, really gives the futuristic feel that I think Rimmel are aiming for. Another thing I really like, is that the bottle is transparent in places, which means you can see the true colour of the product with little difficulty! This makes it easier to find the right shade to put on in those dark winter mornings! The contrast between the black, and the colour of the product really makes the apocalips pop!

Pricing is fairly decent too. At £6.49, i can definitely see myself purchasing some more in the future as they're just that great.

Leave me some colour recommendations in the comments!

My Temporary Dressing Table

Hello my Lovelies! Today I want to share with you, My 'temporary' dressing table. If you've read my recent Ikea Post, you'll know i've been redoing my bedroom, and therefore everything is a little bit allover the place, hense why my dressing table, is on my desk top at the moment! Anyway, I've been trying to make it as cute as possible, so i thought i'd share the ways in which i'm doing so!

So i've been keeping all my everyday lipstick, and baby lips in this old Chuppa Chups candle jar. i waited until all the wax was gone, took out the wick, and the metal disk, scrubbed it with a scourer, and voila, an new really cute lipstick holder!

I keep all of my makeup brushes in this Ikea plant pot, that really goes well with the theme of my room, then i have a nice coloured nail polish (that i never use because i hate it's consistancy) and a small simple toner.

I absolutely love this heart decoration that i have hanging from my mirror, it was £1.99 from an individual shop in Skegness and just adds a bit of colour to the area.

I have this little pastel box, that has all my 'Daily essentials' in it... It holds, my toner moisturizer, hand cream, toner, eye cream and oil wipes

I also have this Ikea plant, to bring a little bit of life to my dressing table, and i really love the colour i gives! The candle next to it is also really nice! It was 80p from Primark, and smells deliciously
berry-y

Hope you enjoyed a small peek at my dressing table!

Collecion Gothic Glam Lipstick:- Seduction

*Sorry for the fact that this was taken in Starbucks! I wanted to apply it, but couldn't without photographing it first!*

Hello my Lovelies! If you've been reading for a while, you'll probably know that I've been on the look out for the perfect deep red/ purple lip colour recently. When i was in Scarborough a few weeks back now, i was looking for a really nice autumn lip colour. I swatched this and instantly feel in love with it, but there wasn't any left! Just my luck! Ever since, I've been in every Collection stocker near me, but it seemed to be sold out everywhere! On Saturday i popped into the Superdrug in Meadowhall, they had it, and obviously i bought it!

Firstly, i want to discuss the consistency of the product it's self. It's very creamy, and applies really easily to the lips, however, its not sticky (i find it hard to find a non-sticky budget lipstick, so an extra bonus)! It lasts for hours too, which is great, because you don't have to keep re-applying! The colour itself, as I've already mentioned, is absolutely stunning! I would probably say, its a deep toned red, with the slightest hint of purple. On my lips, 'Seduction' really brings out the white of my teeth, and leaves me looking like i own a set of really pearly whites!

The packaging, is actually really nice too the outside, is mainly black with a gold pattern on the lid, but inside where the lipstick is, is a really nicely finished gold colour (that doesn't look the slightest bit tacky, like most gold packaging on 'cheap' lipsticks) I also like the fact that there is a representation of the colour on the bottom of the tube, as it makes it so much easier to store!

If you know Collection, you'll probably know that it's a budget beauty brand, which means that the lipstick really doesn't break the bank! At only £2.99, this is one of the best lipsticks I've tried, in terms of both product and packaging, so i would recommend it to anyone who wants a staple autumn winter lipstick, for such a small price!

Rimmel Vinyl Lipgloss: 'Snog'

Hello my lovelies, today I'm going to be talking about a products that sadly isn’t that great. I was really looking forward to trying out the Vinyl Gloss Lip gloss by Rimmel, but honestly, in my opinion it's nothing special!

The consistency of the lip gloss however, is really nice, and shines really well. However, the colour 'Snog' is really disappointing. When i actually applied this to my lips, there was no difference in the colour of my lips, all it really did was add a small amount of sheen. Obviously, other colours in the range might be different, and 'Snog' might suit your lips better than it does mine (10/10 for perfect match to my lips though!) and therefore be better overall in your opinion.

The Packaging didn't really impress me either, there's nothing wrong with it, but for the price, i would expect the packaging to look slightly more impressive if i'm honest. It's just quite plain and boring in my opinion.

Finally, i want to discuss the price of the product. For the quality, i think its actually overpriced at £4.99.  I think for the money, there's better products out there. Take, the Rimmel lasting kisses lip glosses, for example, they're excellent. I just think that the vinyl  glosses aren't as good as Rimmel's usual high standard.

Fall Nail Varnish

Hello my lovelies! I'm going to be reviewing this Gelly Hi-shine nail varnish by Barry M, in the shade plum!

Firstly, i want to comment on the actual colour itself! As with all the other colours in the range, 'Plum' is absolutely beautiful! It a very deep blue toned purple, which i feel is really great for autumn into winter!

As you've probably heard blogger after blogger rave on and on about the finish of these nail varnishes, i won't dwell on it too long, but they're definitely worth the hype! You could definitely get away with one coat (although i do advise you use two) and you'd be left with shiny (comparable to gel) nails! They apply so easily to your nails, which adds a real professional touch, because your not left with tell tale novice streaked nails!

In terms of the packaging, i think it could be better, its just like other Barry M nail polishes, but with a different type of lid. However, for the price the packaging is perfectly adequate!

If your looking for a cheap but good quality nail varnish, you should definitely try out this range from Barry M (or any of the ranges for that matter) as they're top quality!
I think, used along side some rose gold jewelry, a thick cardigan or parka, and some brogues, you'd look perfectly styled for Autumn/Fall!

Ikea Interior Ideas - My Desk

Hello my lovelies! I'm currently redecorating my bedroom! I get really excited over things like this, and i thought i'd share with you a few of the bits of pieces i'm picking up to go around my desk!

I'm not on a strick budget, but i'm trying to keep my desk area as cheap as possible, without everything looking really cheap. And obviously, the first shop that sprung to my mind, was Ikea, as everything is such good quality, but fairly cheap at the same time!

Micke Desk - White (£65.00):- I really love this desk. Its extra long, which i really like because it means that you can have your laptop on the desk, as well as your writing space. I love the finish on it too, and the minimalist feel!

Skurar Plant Pot (£1.90):- I already have one of these for my plant pots, which i keep makeup brushes in, and im going to be picking up another to put in my pens and pencils!

Forsa Desk Lamp (£15.00):- I absolutely love this lamp, i adore the chrome finish and the actual design of it. It fits really well with the theme of my room, and is quite affordable too!

Sarskild Notebook (£2.00):- I've seen these all over the internet, and i feel like i need one of them in my life, to keep me on track!

Kassett Boxes (£8.75 for 2):- I really love these, and need them for my wires and electrical items!

Knodd Bin (£16.00):- I really like the vintage theme of this bin, its slightly retro, and just what i'm looking for, as its cute and stores all that useless paper!

Ensidig Vase (£1.00):- I really love the shape of this vase, and i really think that with a cute pink flower it will add a real pop of colour to my room!

Hope you enjoyed looking at my 'shopping list' for my desk ahaha!

Green Tea Stem Cell Face Mask

Hello my lovelies! On Sunday whilst doing my errands (in the house i might add) I tried out this Green Tea Stem Cell Facial mask, and i thought it was a perfect opportunity to review it!

When i was searching the shelves for a good face mask, this really stood out, for a few reasons, firstly look at the colours of the packaging! Bright Green and Grey, two of my favourite colours. Not only that but i thought the name really sounded good! I especially liked the sound of the green tea, because I'm sure its full of things that are great for your skin and body!

I'm not a big fan of the type of face masks that you have to 'scoop and spread' all over your face, they're too messy and get  e v e r y w h e r e  so they're not quick and easy like i prefer. So when i noticed this was a pre-cut sheet mask, it sealed the deal. The mask its self is madefrom a really thick mesh type of material, which means that the product doesn't bubble or drip of, and just sits on your face really nicely! One thing i will say however, is that the mask is quite big, and the product can get in your hair, so if your planning to use this, i'd use a hair band to ensure that it doesn't get stuck in your hair. The size of the holes for your eyes, mouth and nose are perfectly adequate too which is great!

When you take the mask out of its packet, its very wet, and has tonnes of liquid on it, which i really like. As you put it onto your face, it's really cold which adds to the whole refreshing element! I will admit, that it is quite sticky which wont be everyone cup of tea, but the results are well worth the stickiness! After using this, my skin did feel much tighter, and moisturized as well as extremely fresh and revitalized! It's really soothing effect seems to have done something for my spots too, because they seem to be disappearing as we speak! I love the smell too, its very fresh and clean! I only paid around 69p for this too from home bargains, so i will definitely be repurchasing it!

I would definitely recommend this face mask to anyone who has quite spotty skin or dry skin, as it really does give a calming moisture boost!

Price: 10/10    Product: 8/10   Packaging: 9/10
Hope you enjoyed today's post!

Scrub Of Your Life

Hello my lovelies! Today i thought i'd do a review on the body scrub 'The Scrub Of Your Life' by soap and glory!

First thing on my list of points to discuss, is the scent of the body scrub itself. It smells exacly like Hand Food, which is a plus because it really does smell good! One of the really great things is that the scent really stays on your skin and in the bathroom!

Secondly, the gritty texture is a really nice consistency! I like the fact that when you use this, you can feel it scrubing against your skin. I would say its a medium harshness, because its no where near as harsh as ones such as the Breakfast Scrub! I really like to use this to get rid of tricky fake tan patches, and dry skin!

The packaging is really pretty too! The vintage theme is so me (hence the blog background) so i really do enjoy having it sat on my shelf of beauty mania. I just feel like the packet its self is just so beautiful for the price, even though its not the cheapest scrub on the market.

                                          Price: 6/10          Product 7/10      Packaging: 9.5/10

                                                  Hope you enjoyed today's post!xx
