Sweat Proof makeup

Bonjour my little Beauties! Day 3 of August Already? It was December 2 hours ago! I honestly cant believe how fast this years flown by so far, and now we are left in the thick of summer! Since its that sweaty time again, i thought I'd share with you my 'Sweat Proof Makeup' mmm, sounds delicious, i know! Anyway, on with the post!

FACE BASE:

T-Zone Anti-blemish BB cream: I picked this up for 99p in Home Bargains, not knowing what to expect! I do quite like it, obviously i didn't hope for miracles but i'm pretty happy! It doesn't offer the best spot coverage but evens out the skin tone, and doesn't leave me looking too shiny (i do still however need to powder) Just nice and glowy!

Natural Collection pressed powder: I LOVE this stuff! It mattifies my skin without looking cakey or heavy (no what you want on a summer day) As you can see, I've hit pan, and this is my third one I've had so surely that's saying something? I even think it beats Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder!

Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer: Stick form concealers the best for summer in my opinion, because liquid can leave you looking a little sweaty. I bought this one last year when i was unfortunate enough to end up with a massive scab on my chin (gross i know) but this covered it perfectly! Its brilliant for those pesky spots!

MUA bronzer: I've heard quite a few beauty bloggers rave about this recently, so i thought i'd give it a go. And yeah, i can see why it was hyped! It leaves a soft bronzed look on the face, and can be built up to make a strong contour. And for only a pound, i definitely think its worth a try!

EYES:

MUA Pro Brow Ultimate Kit: I have a full review on this coming soon, so i'm not going to give too much away, but i do really like this, it gives a great natural looking brow!

P.S Love (Primark) liquid eyeliner: I've searched high and low for a good eyeliner, and honestly i got sick of searching! I picked this up in Primark (as a complete impulse buy) and its the best one I've tried yet! The thin applicator brush makes doing cat eyes and winged liner such a dream! I'm quite a novice when it comes o liner, so if i can use it anyone can!

Helen E Kohl Eyeliner: I'd never heard of the brand 'Helen E' until i received a goody bag for a makeup event a while back. I like to use this eyeliner to fill in my waterline for a dramatic eye look. However it doesn't have the greatest stain power, which is a real shame, but for a couple of hours it lasts pretty well!

H&M Twisted curves mascara: I know I've talked about this before, as i really do lurvee it! The brush makes its application smooth ans simple, and it leaves my lashes looking long and voluminous without looking clumpy or spider leg like!

LIPS:

Avon Lipstick (Nude peach): Although i love bright lipsticks in summer, but i'm also big fan of light peachy colours! I received this one quite a while ago, and i think it really compliments any summer look, especially with a heavy eye look!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Purchase of the Week

Hello my little lovelies! This weeks purchase, is the MUA Undressed Palette!

The colours are wonderful, and swatch really well! They look really nice on the eyelids, and are really pigmented! As for staying power, they last all day, when wearing a eyelid primer! I originally went to buy this as i heard that it was a pretty good dupe for the naked palette from Urban Decay, but i can't compare as i don't own it. But as for the product itself, i think it's a pretty good staple!

This costs £4, and is available from MUA. I think for any starter kits, or even for the pro's amongst us, its a pretty good, buy!
And i have had this for around 3 weeks (despite the title of the post) so I've tested them all out!

                                                              **True to colour swatches**

Hope you enjoyed todays purchase of the week!

Current Hair Care Edit

Hey my little lovelies!! I wanted to give you a quick insight into my current hair care 'system' so to speak! And at the moment i believe it works perfectly with my hair type!!

TRESemme Thermal Recovery, Nourish & Renew Shampoo:- This is shampoo for dry hair heat damaged hair. I tend to use this once a week, as if i use it more often it can cause oil build up in my hair, as it's naturally oily. Available HERE

Babyliss Curl Secret C1000E :- This is seriously revolutionary... It zaps up your hair does 8, 10 or 12 seconds, and then out comes a perfect curl, Its surprisingly easy to use too!! Its not on the cheap side, and i was lucky enough to receive this for Christmas! Available HERE

Alberto Balsalm Green Apple Shampoo & Conditioner:- I LOVE Alberto Balsalm! For one, they all smell very nice, the green apple one is marketed towards my hair type so i though it was best  used this one, but i really like the scent well. Does everything a shampoo should! Available HERE

Enrapture Totem Curler:- The barrel part of this curler is split into three sections, each of which can be changed to different heat settings, which makes it really easy to change up your style regularly. I really like the fact that one heat styler can make so many different hairstyles. Available HERE

Avon Advanced Techniques Moroccan Oil Treatment:- I was lucky enough to receive this one for Christmas, and have tried it out around three times, and so far i'm loving it! It stops frizzies, helps split ends and makes hair silky soft. I don't use a hair mask every time i wash my hair, as i have naturally oily hair... once a week is enough for me! Available HERE

And finally we come to straighteners are straighteners, and these Toni & guy ones certainly get the job done! There quite good, and don't leave your hair damaged when used at the right heat.... Available HERE

Hoped you enjoyed today's post guys!!!

Think Pink Lush Bath Bomb!

Hello my little lovelies!! I'm going to be reviewing the Think Pink Lush Bath bomb, and its a cutie!
Okay, so as you can see from the picture above, think pink looks as good as it sounds, in comparison to many other Lush bath bombs, its on the smaller side, but there still enough product for your buck!! The three little flowers on top add a feminine touch, but do tend to pop out, to me this isn't a problem but for others it might be so... The smell is described as 'vanilla and Tonka' and to be quite honest i have no clue what 'Tonka' is but it smells delightful,  i'm not the best at describing but, i would say this is a subtle sweet/floral scent that isn't overpowering at all. I used this earlier this morning, and its left its scent all over my skin, yummy! My skin also feels surprisingly soft, which makes me feel like this is definitely worth the money.

When dropped (or popped, which ever you prefer) into your bath, Think Pink fizzes, and turns your bath a wonderful pink colour. Depending on what colour flowers, are on top, swirls of colour also swizz around! When the remainders of the bath bomb disappear into the water, small heart shapes of different coloured  pink confetti are left floating around, eventually these dissolve too, but they do prolong the experience! Sadly, this wouldn't photograph too well, sorry!

So in conclusion, Think Pink is great value, at only £2.50 for all of the above (moisturizing, smell, relaxing). I wouldn't use one every bath time, but i would consider using one often enough to keep me feeling chilled!

What did Abbie get me for Christmas?

Okay, so i know its been a while since i last posted, but hey ho its been Christmas, and my schedule has been jam packed! To get back into the swing of things i thought i'd show you the beauty bits Abbie bought me, and let's just say i was well chuffed!

Okay, so the first thing i opened was this little beauty! The soap and glory breakfast scrub! And my-oh-my it smells good! To me it smells just like fudgey-maple syrup flavor! M-mm. It's very thick, and GREAT for exfoliating all over, although i think it would be rather harsh to tr and exfoliate your face with, so bear that in mind! :) Soap & Glory range available HERE
As you can see from the above photo, Abbie bought me some good old lush. And im a HUGE lushie!!! I'm a big fan of the Christmas range at lush, even the wrapping, is extra cute this year!
A gift from the angels? haha see what i did there? This soaps sadly only available around the Christmas period, but well worth the year round wait! I'm rubbish at describing scents so i'm gonna use the lush booklet to help me. This is a 'super fruity' scent, which is also rather sweet and delightful! Yum! Sadly, this soaps no longer available, but hopefully it will be back next year!
Abbie obviously knows me VERY well, as space girl, is one of my fav lush bath products, from the normal range, and thankfully its available all year round. Its fabulous for fizzing and whizzing around your tub, and even contains some popping candy for good measure! This to me just smells like sweets! yay, i'm a big fan of sweets so thats' a winner! And for the price of £2.25, its one of lush's cheapest product, perfect for chillaxing! Available HERE
Finally, i got this little wonder, and i'm sorry i know the photo is rather crappy and doesn't really do the product justice! Again, this is from the Christmas collection, so its no longer available sorry. However its the cutest most glittery thing i have ever seen... And it smells really refreshing and citrus-y! Star Light Star Bright is a perfect post Christmas pick me up, so if its  in again next year be sure to check it out!!!

I also received, lots more smellies of friends and family, including a HUGE soap and glory set, and a Lush Christmas Bathtime favorites box set!!!

Clinique Primer Sample

So I signed up for this free sample from clinique because of the 'universal' statement. In this case I believe that, it should be a multi purpose primer, that I can test out! I'm always up for testing new things out, as I think its the only way you can find your 'holy grail' products!
I know the photograph is a bit blurry, but it will get the job done! I really really like this primer and it makes your makeup last literally all day. However i'm not saying that this product's amazing, it could well be, but i've only tried it once, so just bear that in mind! I wore quite a dark smokey eyeshadow, when i used my sample, and it sayed intack from the moment i put it on to the second i took it off! There wasn't any drop down, which to me is one of the key points to a primer! All primers tend to make my face rather shiny, but this one really doesn't! I think it is rather pricey, but if you've got the budget for it well worth it. Its £20.00 for a full sized bottle and is available HERE

I can't really do a full in depth review, because i haven't tried it out thoroughly enough however, i do think that i would really like it, and this makes me want it even more... I'm certainly considering it!

Hope you liked today's post guys!

Everyday makeup collection

Okay, so this is a little bit of something different! I thought i'd show you  my everyday makeup pieces. Now, this isn't where my makeup is usually stored, but i thought that this looked a little bit more 'scenic' than the plastic drawers that i usually keep my makeup in!

From the picture above you can see the main 'swing' of things! Obviously when all is away as it normally would be the lipsticks are neatly in the drawer, and the drawer is pushed inside the jewelry box, which i bought at a boot sale for 50p! Bargain... it was in immaculate condition too!
Okay, in the large pull out drawer, I have all my other bits and bobs, eye shadow etc.

  • MUA Undress me two palette (review coming soon!)
  • 2 MUA cream blushers :- Dolly and Yummy
  • A light pink blush that I need to give to Abbie
  • A collection black gel eyeliner
  • Kate Moss by Rimmel lipstick :-02
  • Avon push up lipstick :- Nude Peach
On the plate which i staged my 'Winter Essentials' on earlier in the month i keep my basic even no makeup day products! As well as a MUA nail polish thrown in for good measure! So on the plate i have:

  • Next adore perfume which is running dangerously low
  • Maybelline Baby Lips :- Cherry Me
  • The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip balm :- Guava
  • Simple light hydrating moisturizer
  • MUA nail polish :- Koala Bear
The plate is also from a boot sale, and for 25p i couldn't leave it!

So in the lift up top section, i keep all my face base everyday makeup in here:

  • Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:- 200
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse :- Sand
  • Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer:- Sand
  • Miss Sporty Concealer:- Medium
  • 2 MUA Cover and Concealer Concealers, in different shades:- Light and fair
  • Natural Collection Green Concealer
  • The remains of the Natural Collection Pressed Powder:- Warm
Hope you enjoyed this little insight into my everyday makeup collection!

I Heart Drugstore Makeup Tag

Before anyone starts, I know 'tag' videos are usually only done on YouTube... But I thought i'd bend the rules! Let's go!!!! :)

1. What is your favourite drugstore makeup brand?
I really like Rimmel and  Maybelline, I can't really choose between! I have a variety of both brands and there's hardly any I dislike! I also really like MUA and Sleek!

2. What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?
I like the MUA cream blushers, natural collection pressed powder and the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation.  I LOVE the Kate Moss lipsticks from Rimmel and the collection lipsticks.

3. Least favourite product?
Personally, I don't like the MUA pressed powder, I have really oily skin so the product isn't for my skin type. That's not to say, I won't work for you, everybody's skin types are different!!

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
I think that the MUA pro palette's are amazingly pigmented for the price (£4). The Sleek palettes are really good too!

5. What is your favourite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
I don't really know if it counts as an 'underdog' product. But the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I think it gets overlooked as in most drugstores, it stands next to the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (the infamous foundation, that EVERY 'beauty guru' On YouTube raves about).

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
Definitely Mascara... Its extortionate!  L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara is £10.99, going on for high end prices!

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)
I haven't personally got my very own 'drugstore dupe' that I've found myself, I do know of one. The MUA Undress me and Undress Me Too palettes are supposedly really good dupes for the Naked 1 & 2 palette!

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
The Nivea lip butters. They taste nice and there not dreadful. They just don't work for me. I think this product would be much more effective for people with dryer lips than mine! :)

Top three festive polishes

Hello my little beauties! Christmas is getting ever closer, and its nearly time to paint our fingers ready for the Christmas day celebrations, i like to do my festive nails around the 21st of December, and then touch them up on Christmas eve!

Okay, so this posts about my 3 Favorite festive nail polishes! Firstly, i want to apologize for the blury-ness of the photo, this was the only way i could get them all in shot sorry! On with the post!

3. No7 Stay Perfect Nail Polish:- Millan
Despite how this looks in the bottle, one coat and your set, its perfect for the one coat lovers, The brush is extra wide and you can nearly fill your whole nail with one swipe. Its a soft pink colour, with lot's of silver sparkle, perfect for the festive season. I love this, but sadly i won't be wearing this over Christmas as the other two have piped it to the post. Its rather pricey though! I have a feeling this has been discontinued as i can't find it on the Boots website, but i came across a glitter nail polish that looks absolutely beautiful, so i will link that here. I think i might have to make a sneaky Pre-Christmas purchase!

2. Unbranded Red Nail Polish with flecks of Gold glitter
I'm sorry that this is completely unbranded and i can't find anything like it on the internet. But i couldn't leave this out of the post! Basically, its a light cherry red nail polish, and gold glitter mixed together and i love it. I don't exactly know how gained this, so that doesn't help either! But i did come across something pretty cool from Amazon that i thought i'd link as a replacement (2 out of 3 replacements! How rubbish am i? Eurgh). Its two nail art pens, one gold and one red, with glitter and the works, i don't know how good they are but i'm thinking about buying them, so if i do i'll probably write a post. Anyway, they're available here.

1. Barry M Glitter Nail polish:- Amethyst Glitter
Okay, so this one, i don't have to find a replacement for! You can buy the actual thing! And let me tell you its worth £2.99. As you can see from the picture above, that the glitter is mostly pink, teal and gold glitter, it shimmers like a disco ball! J One coats plenty for a quick coat, however  I prefer 2-3 coats to make it look nice and filled! I'm going to try doing ombre nails with this over the top of a black polish, and if it works this is going to be what i'm wearing on christmas day! All very exciting i know! Barry M are a great budget brand for nail polish and  make up! Available Here.

So i hoped you liked this post, on all things polished! Tell us in the comments your top three polishes! We'd love to know!

Spotless skincare

Hey my little beauties! This posts talking spots, skincare and scrubbing haha!...

Everyday!...

Okay so i use this Clearasil daily clear superfruits oil and shine wash every single day, to keep the oil at bay! I just like Abbie have Oily to combination skin, which can get rather irritable, when looking for foundations and such. However this daily wash, clears pores, and unclogs oil (sound's disgusting i know) and leaves your face shine free, exactly what is says on the tin! I love the smell of this too, its very citrus-y which is right up my street! I use one pump in the palm of my hand, and then use lots of water, so is goes all around my face. It works a treat and in my opinion, abolishes spots! Its not too expensive it retails at £4.99, but the packaging has changed now, which is surprising as i only bought this a couple of months ago and its available HERE

Twice a Week!...

I use this blackhead fighting facial scrub, twice a week. This scrub by T-Zone exfoliating scrub, with micro beads, really does fight the blackheads! Its quite a harsh scrub, and people could have slight problems if you have sensitive skin. I think if i used it more than twice a week, i think it would damage my skin. I really like it though, it takes away spots, dead skin and black heads. I actually bought this in pound land, for a pound! Which to be honest is a right bargain! I'm sure you could end up paying more for it though. I also think that is available at home bargains too for around the same price, so i'd check there as well.

This doesn't include toner and moisturizer as you can see. This is the basics of spotless skin! So tell us in the comments your skin care routine, we'd love to know!

Leanne :) xx
