Hello my Lovelies! Todays post is from a guest blogger, and my best friend Natalie! I hope you enjoy it, as its her take on the Wake Me Up Foundation!

Hey guys!

Now, I know Leanne has already done a review on the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, but I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on it.

First things first, it would be a good idea to tell you about my skin; I definitely have dry skin, I'm afraid I can't even call it combination. I know this might sound like a God send to you more oily faced people but trust me, it's not that easy!! My main issue is getting foundation to actually stick to my face in the first place. They just tend to attach to dryer patches of my face and look all clumpy, but I'll explain more about that in a minute. Anyway, as we both have different skin types, the foundation sits differently with us, so pick your nearest skin type either Leanne's oily to combination skin or dry skin like me, and read the review closest to you

Yes, I moisture every night and do everything else I can think of in a drastic attempt to add moisture to my face, but it just doesn't work! I've totally accepted my dry skin and therefore I am constantly on the hunt for dewy foundations that will blend into my face. My usual go-to is the YSL Touché Éclat foundation and it really LOVE it but this brings me onto my next problem...I have really pale skin! I do not want this to sound like a blog post explaining my face issues, it's honestly not, I'm just hoping this will help you understand my reasons for liking or not liking the foundation. Anyway, I have this in the shade BR10, described as "the ghost shade" by the lady at the counter, and it's perfect for my skin....however....my face is currently tanned, hence me trying out Wake Me Up.

Despite my tan, I purchased this in the lightest shade, 010 light porcelain, and amazingly I've found a foundation too light even for me! So, if you're thinking of buying this, I would consider the huge difference between the first and second shade. The second shade was way too dark unfortunately, and the first shade way too light. However, I have discovered  that as I apply it and it oxides on my face, it does appear to get darker and match my face. I'm not sure if that's my eyes deceiving me, or I'm imagining it, but if this is the case then the shade it 'dries' to is a much better match than before!

Moving on...the finish! I must say that Wake Me Up applies really smoothly and easily and in my opinion, this is definitely compatible with my YSL foundation. Although, I would say it is a very thick formula and has medium to full coverage. I love the dewy look on my face and the glitter particles make it look glowy and flawless! Personally, I need to powder with this foundation so I would suggest that most other people will also need to powder. This might sound strange but I think it looks nice when foundation makes your face a tiny bit shiny, as this one does for me, so in my eyes it's a winner. That being said, if you are more on the oily side, it might not be the one for you. Perhaps powdering throughout the day would help it though. As Leanne also suggested, I would say Rimmel Match Perfection is probably a better one to go for if you are combination to oily skinned.

All in all, this foundation definitely lives up to the hype! My only issue is the shade range and the massive difference between the first and second shade. If you do have drier skin I would definitely give it a go! Hope this review helped and let us know your thoughts below.

Bye for now, Natalie :)
